Three days of fun and music.

Kicking off it's festival Friday with an astounding array of musical talent for a ticketed gig in the Primary School; local pubs will also be hosting sessions for all musical persuasions!

Saturday afternoon it's all happening at the Open Mic Music cafe - cakes, coffee and cacophony! Kiddies story telling and musical workshop will keep all the family entertained, but don't tire yourself because Saturday night sees another ticketed gig with none other than living legend Mike Heron (Incredible String Band for the uninitiated ones).

Then we bring it all back down for a relaxing Sunday with an acoustic concert in the Faed Gallery, blues in the Bank of Fleet and more pub sessions to leave us tingling all over and happy!

Getting Here

Gatehouse is well served by road from all directions. Below is a list of the main approaches arriving from both the north and the south.

Gatehouse of Fleet is located in south-west Scotland just north of the A75, about 30 miles from Dumfries in the east, and 40 miles from Stranraer on the west coast of Scotland.

Directions from Dumfries

(east of Gatehouse of Fleet). Take the A75 heading west towards Stranraer. After about 30 miles at the signpost for Gatehouse of Fleet, turn right onto the B727. After a mile you will pass the entrance to the Cally Palace Hotel on your left, then drop down into the village itself. Passing the Clock Tower on the High Street on the left, continue along the High Street.

Directions from Ayr

(north west of Gatehouse of Fleet): Take the A713 heading south/south east towards Castle Douglas for about 50 miles, traveling through the villages of Dalmellington and Crossmichael. Turn right onto the A75 heading west towards Stranraer (do not go straight over towards Castle Douglas). Then follow directions from Dumfries.

Directions from there

We're a wee bit crafty here in festival land and will do everything we can to ensure that you make it to the festival site 'no matter what'. With this in mind, we've incorporated a little mappy/direction gizmo that will spit out directions which when followed (on the correct day!!) will navigate you perfectly to Gatehouse.

Just type your 'streetname, townname, uk' into the 'Address' box and let the automagic map do the rest (that is of course after clicking the 'Get Directions' button). Enjoy the trip...
